Frequently Asked Questions
How long should I stay enrolled?
Most clients use our services for about 6 to 9 months, but everyone's credit situation is unique. Since credit reports update monthly and the bureaus take 30–45 days to respond to disputes, this is a month-to-month process that may take several rounds of work. Some cases take longer if the credit bureaus ask for more documentation. Improving your credit is a lot like hitting the gym — it’s not a quick fix, but with time and consistency, you’ll see results.
What laws protect my rights?
Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA):
This law gives you the right to dispute any item on your credit report. The bureaus are legally required to investigate and remove anything that violates FCRA guidelines. Read more
Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA):
Debt collectors must follow strict rules. If they break these laws, the reported account could be removed from your credit. Learn more
About Gonzalez Financial Solutions LLC
We’re an online credit consulting service dedicated to helping consumers improve their credit. Whether you're rebuilding from bad credit or starting with no credit at all, we’re here to help. We educate, guide, and provide tools — such as recommended credit-building products — to set you on the right path.
Credit Building vs. Credit Repair
-
Bad credit (negative accounts)? You need credit repair.
-
No credit history at all? You need to build credit.
We can help with both!
How does credit repair work?
We review and dispute items that may be:
-
Inaccurate
-
Incomplete
-
Unverified
-
Reported in violation of FCRA or FDCPA
If these items are successfully removed, most clients see a credit score increase as a result.
Legal Compliance: CROA
We strictly follow the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA):
-
No upfront fees
-
No false guarantees
-
No illegal “credit sweeps”
You can cancel at any time, and only inaccurate, unverified, or incomplete items are eligible for deletion. See the full law
Why can’t I use Credit Karma or Experian?
Apps like Credit Karma or Experian don’t give us access to all three major credit bureaus, which we need to do our job.
We recommend using IdentityIQ or Smart Credit—both offer full credit monitoring and IdentityIQ tends to be more affordable.
Do you follow telemarketing rules?
Yes. While we aren’t a telemarketing company, we follow the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR). We don’t cold call, and we only communicate with clients who give us written permission. More info
How will I get updates?
-
Your portal will update every 35–40 days
-
Email/text notifications will keep you in the loop
-
Credit bureaus will also mail updates directly
-
You’ll receive our office line after enrollment for any direct questions
Why choose us?
-
We follow the law
-
We’re transparent and realistic
-
We don’t pressure you
-
We don’t make fake promises
You never had to fill out a form or call to get these answers, we believe in educating before enrolling. That’s why we’ve earned excellent reviews across Google and social media.
Note: We didn’t put the negative items on your report. Our role is to help you challenge and possibly remove them — respectfully and professionally.
What we don’t do:
-
We don’t lie or promise unrealistic results
-
We don’t charge upfront
-
We don’t do “credit sweeps” or file false police reports
-
We don’t touch identity theft unless it’s real and documented
Beware of anyone who promises results without reviewing your credit report — that’s like a surgeon operating without a diagnosis.
What if a creditor sues me?
Lawsuits, wage garnishments, or being sued by a creditor are legal matters. If you signed for a loan or card and stopped paying, the lender may take legal action. If this happens, contact an attorney. We can’t stop lawsuits — we only work on credit reporting, not debt collection or legal defense.
Even if a debt is paid, the negative reporting can remain for up to 7 years.
What items can be removed?
We work on:
-
Late payments
-
Charge-offs
-
Collections
-
Bankruptcies
-
Other negative accounts
These items may be removed if they are:
-
Inaccurate
-
Unverified
-
Incomplete
-
In violation of FCRA or FDCPA
If removal isn't possible, we’ll inform you honestly.
DIY Disputes vs. Hiring Us
Can you dispute items yourself? Absolutely. But just like hiring a tax preparer, mechanic, or personal trainer — you pay for expertise and time saved.
Online disputes usually just say “this isn’t mine” and may block future disputes. We send detailed letters by mail that address actual compliance issues.
Can deleted items come back?
Sometimes. If a debt is sold to a new collector, they may try to report it again. But we often identify these as duplicate or re-aged accounts and dispute them again if needed.
Does paying off debt remove negative info?
No. Paying a collection or charge-off does not delete the negative history. It can still stay on your report for 7 years.
We recommend speaking to an attorney for legal or payment advice — our job is to challenge reporting, not tell you whether or not to pay.
Will hiring you automatically fix my credit?
No one can guarantee results upfront — that’s illegal. We’re here to try, not promise. Think of us like hiring a lawyer: you pay for representation and strategy, not guaranteed freedom.
Can I get a phone consultation?
Yes, but our support line is for enrolled clients only. This way, we give priority to people who’ve committed to the process. For general questions, just email us at info@gonzalezfinancialsolutions.com and we’ll reply promptly.
Can you fix my credit fast?
No. Anyone promising a “24-hour fix” is lying and violating the law. If credit repair was that quick, no one would have bad credit. We do it the right way — and that takes time, consistency, and compliance.
Will my credit score drop?
We don’t control your credit score. But here’s what can lower it:
-
Missed payments
-
Hard inquiries (applying for credit)
-
High credit card balances
-
Charge-offs or collections
-
Adding new accounts that lower your average account age
We don’t cause hard inquiries, and checking your credit with us is safe.
What if I have more questions?
We expect that! These FAQs cover the most common questions, but if you have something more specific, feel free to: Email us at info@gonzalezfinancialsolutions.com Or fill out the contact form on our website. Make sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see our reply.
Can I meet with you in person?
Our service is fully online — like most of your bills and subscriptions. But yes, we do offer in-person meetings by appointment only. Use our contact form to request a meeting time.
